Contract

This is a UNV International Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Youth contracts.

The United Nations Development advocates for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. At country level, the development agenda is informed by the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2021 - 2025, a five-year programme that is designed collaboratively by the UN system, the Government of Eswatini, private sector and civil society organizations, academia, development partners and non-governmental organisations. The process of design was all inclusive, transparent and participatory in nature, thereby enabling all views to be incorporated into the final five-year cooperation framework. The framework also includes implementing the new global development agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Four key outcome areas were reached and agreed upon jointly with the Government and key national stakeholders for support during the 5 years cycle. These outcome areas are: (1) Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Growth, (2) Investing in Human Resources and Social Development, (3) Accountable Governance, Justice and Human Rights and (4) Strengthening Natural Resource Management Climate Resilience and Environmental Sustainability. The outcome areas were operationalised through the formulation of Joint Work Plans (JWPs) covering the period 2021 – 2022. These were developed in November 2020 and are currently being reviewed for re-prioritization of activities for 2022. The approach transforms UN programming from agency-based programming towards more coherent joint programming approaches across the UN agencies.
