  • MSCE Certificate

Key Responsibilities:

Purpose of Position

To provide driving services to World Vision Malawi staff in order to enhance the Ministry's support in transport services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizes vehicles for World Vision projects or general office related matters as assigned

  • Drives responsibly, following traffic directions and respecting established speed limits and any other internal regulations for the use of vehicles

  • Maintains daily logbooks which include: kilometers driven each day, party driven or task assignment, any irregularities or damage to vehicle, any maintenance carried out on the vehicle

  • Reports any accident or incident within 24 hours to the immediate supervisor and the Fleet and Security Coordinator

  • Provides the log books on daily basis to the Administrative Officer and the Senior Driver so a database is kept for the vehicle/fuel usage charges

  • Drives project staff including visitors

  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance of vehicles by carrying out general maintenance including cleaning, tyre pressure, brake fluid, radiator, oil check , fuel supply, and spare tyre

  • Provides vehicle performance report for each service and highlight any potential problem that has not been dealt with in the current service

    Knowledge, abilities, qualifications and experience required;

o MSCE Certificate,

o Not less than five years’ experience in similar capacity.

o A relevant clean Driving License

o Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics

o Defensive Driving Certificate

o Professional Driving Permit

o Excellent communication skills in English and Chichewa (oral and written).

o Experience in driving high profile delegates
