We do this by providing staff, managers and HR teams across our operations with policies, processes and tools that have a visible impact on staff development and engagement. The team consists of 10 employees.

About the job

In order to support DRC in meeting one of our Organizational Principles for 2025 (50% gender balance and 50%+ national staff in management roles), you will play a pivotal role in our journey toward a more inclusive and diverse organization, that not only reflects the communities we serve, but also strengthens our mission to provide dignified lives for displaced people worldwide. Your expertise will help us identify and address existing challenges, while empowering our staff to contribute to their fullest potential, thereby enhancing our adaptability, program effectiveness, and overall impact.

You will be doing this by working closely with other specialists across the organization to ensure that our policies, processes, tools and guidelines are equitable and support increased diversity and inclusion within the organization. You will also support the development and implementation of initiatives related to attraction, development & retention of underrepresented groups, while stregthening awareness and understanding of matters related to D&I across the organization.

More specifically, you will:

  • Develop and launch Learning & Development initiatives that strengthen the understanding of Diversity & Inclusion and guide employees in which actions to take to address existing obstacles
  • Responsible for reviewing policies, practices and processes to identify systemic obstacles to Diversity & Inclusion
  • Review and aim to strengthen DRC’s employer brand and candidate experience from a D&I experience
  • Responsible for cross-organizational communication and reporting related to D&I
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of management-level talent pools and mentorship programmes to ensure they are diverse and representative of the population we work with (including talent management programmes, learning pathways, career development, coaching, etc).

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have an in-depth understanding of the opportunities and obstacles related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion that may emerge in large multinational organizations, especially when headquartered in the Global North - but primarily working in the Global South. You are apt at finding opportunities to collaborate within the organization, able to find championing allies and get people with you along our journey.

With a strong background in talent management (particularly in recruitment, learning and development, internal mobility or similar), your readiness to embrace new ideas and try innovative approaches will be just as critical as your past achievements.

All employees should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence and Demonstrating integrity.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with Talent Management (L&D, recruitment, onboarding, etc.)
