Support the development of digital tools and dashboards for disaster resilience.
You have:
- Educational Background (or currently studying): Computer science, data science, information systems, statistics, or related fields.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Superset, or similar); familiarity with Kobo Toolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO.
- Knowledge of machine learning or data automation is an advantage.
- Ability to design simple, user-friendly interfaces.
- Experience in testing digital tools for usability and performance.
- Clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a diverse, global team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power tools (e.g., power automate).
UNDP Armenia and Tech4R are piloting a modular disaster data system. Beyond field data collection, there is a need for real-time dashboards and AI-enhanced tools to help decision-makers interpret data, detect anomalies, and allocate resources effectively. Volunteers will form the technical development team, responsible for building and testing these solutions.
The Digital Tool & Dashboard Development Support Volunteer will:
• Develop and customize digital survey forms (XLSForms) in Kobo Toolbox/ODK. • Build interactive dashboards in Power BI, Superset, or open-source equivalents. • Integrate AI or automation features to: o Flag anomalies in data o Summarize trends o Suggest priority actions • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, multilingual, and accessible to diverse stakeholders. • Conduct functionality testing, troubleshoot bugs, and refine workflows. • Collaborate with the Tech4R team to align tools with resilience and emergency response needs.
