You have:
- University degree in Pedagogics, Educational Sciences, Sociology, International relations, Development Studies, or any other relevant field
- Experience in working in the field of TVET abroad, preferably in Nigeria or Sub-Saharan Africa
- Fluent in English and German
- Excellent organisational skills and a solution-oriented mindset, strong in conceptional work
- Strong social and communication skills
- Strong intercultural competencies, gender awareness, team-working skills
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis
- German nationality or nationality of a member state of the European Union is required

Tätigkeitsbereich
The programme “Skills Development for Youth Employment (SKYE II)” aims to improve the career opportunities of young Nigerians in the labour market. To achieve this, SKYE ll follows an integrated approach to employment promotion. The project focuses on the following areas: (1) policy development and public-private dialogue to promote exchange between state and private sector actors and to improve employment prospects; (2) vocational education and training: improvement of quality of training by the implementation of new occupational standards and capacity development of training institutions to deliver and roll out good quality training; (3) employment promotion: the creation of structures for career counselling and job placement as well as for the implementation of active labour market measures; (4) gender and social inclusion: advisory of government and relevant institutions to ensure equal access to opportunities, regardless of gender or background.
Ihre Aufgaben
- Supports the partner organisation Godfrey Okoye University (GO Uni) in the implementation of competency-based standards for one-year Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes in specific trades
- Coordinates with relevant actors regarding the planning and management of workshops as well as the maintenance of tools and machines
- Enhances efficient and fruitful collaboration and continuous exchange with relevant stakeholders of the public and private sectors
- Supports GO Uni in enhancing the capacity of TVET teachers and trainers with continuous training
- Develops a quality assurance system, developed in coordination with all relevant stakeholders
Ihr Profil

- Solid understanding of the integrated approach for employment, of the dual approach in TVET
- Excellent organisational skills and a solution-oriented mindset, strong in conceptional work
- Experience in working in the field of TVET abroad, preferably in Nigeria or any other country in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Strong social and communication skills
- Strong intercultural competencies, gender awareness, team-working skills
- Fluent in English and German
