The International Volunteer Day (IVD), is an international observance that was mandated by the UN General Assembly in 1985. UNV coordinates a campaign to promote IVD every year, building on the impact volunteers have on communities, nationally and globally, for peace and development. This year IVD is focusing on the volunteer contributions to the Climate action/Environmental change and is presenting prizes to the best volunteer and volunteer involving organization.
The United Nations Volunteer UNV Egypt is looking for a creative and motivated online volunteer to support in the development of the International Volunteer Day (IVD) promotional materials. The volunteer will work on producing 1-3 short videos promoting volunteerism and highlighting contribution of volunteers in achieving the development goals. The videos shall be short, creative, fun and engaging, they will be prepared in Arabic with subtitles in English and/or vice versa. Videos will be shared on social media and some of them maybe screened in the IVD celebration. Raw footage and branding will be shared with the volunteer, as well as the volunteer will be guided by the UNV Egypt team throughout the production process.
The candidate should be professional and dedicated person with at least one year proven experience in video development. Have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, good verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should have video making and editing skills, as well as access to necessary video editing programs and tools, and basic graphic design skills with access to necessary software to get the work done.
