OCHA’s new learning platform, OCHA Learn, hosts courses and micro-courses targeting OCHA personnel at large. A new course titled ‘An introduction to Inter-Cluster Coordination’ has been developed by the Global Cluster Coordination Group and is now available in English on the platform. The Learning and Development team along with the functional team seeks to establish a French version of the course to address the needs of the francophone personnel and operational partners. Hence, the Learning and Development Team is now seeking the help of one Online Volunteer who can help develop the French version of the course. The online volunteer will draw on an existing French translation of the course content that is available in a word format. She/He will develop the course using Articulate authoring tool ‘Rise’ mirroring the structure of the English course. The assignment should be completed online, with an ideal start in early May 2024.

We are seeking one online volunteer to undertake the following tasks: • Review the English course Inter cluster coordination (ICC), which defines the humanitarian system and the purpose of the Cluster Approach, and familiarize with the course structure, engagement methods and formats. The course takes approximately 1h30 to complete. • Access the French translated course content which is available in word; develop the corresponding French version of the course mirroring the English course using Articulate authoring tool RISE. • Where needed, carry out small editorial changes and/or customize the French text in agreement with the learning and development unit and the subject matter experts. • Support creation, uploading and testing of the SCORM package on OCHA Moodle based platform. The online Volunteer will work under the primary guidance of the Subject Matter Expert and in collaboration with the learning and development team which will support as required.

The online volunteer should: • Have a working knowledge of Articulate 360 and particularly RISE authoring tool. • Have experience with Instructional Design. • Be familiar with the Moodle platform. • Have excellent English and French language proficiency. • Have attention to details. • Experience with graphic design is desirable. • A good understanding of humanitarian-related topics is a plus. The role will involve collaborating with the Subject Matter Experts and the Learning and Development team regularly, preferably through MS Teams and email.
