Development of a Digital Giving Strategy in the Arab States Region

UNV is looking for one highly motivated and skilled online volunteer to undertake research and outreach to define a digital giving strategy for UN Volunteers in the Arab States Region. The strategy will include the following components: (i) Define the value proposition of digital giving in the Arab States region; (ii) Complete analysis of existing crowd-funding platforms; (iii) Complete a cost-benefit analysis with a projected revenue stream; (iv) Develop a methodology for market analysis including defining stakeholders; conducting outreach and optimal mix of desk research, interviews; (v) Design an implementation plan that includes key messages. The deliverables are Inception report and methodology (30 December); Zerodraft strategy approved (15 January), and Strategy and Implementation Plan approved; (30 January); Implementation plan launched (15 February).

Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination
The United Nations for Volunteers recently launched a pilot Digital Giving Initiative aimed at diversifying our donors base and experimenting with new ways to mobilize resources to enhance the impact and scale up the response o the 2030 development agenda in support of the priorities of member states. .

20+ hours per week / 7 weeks
• Experience in innovation and designing innovation financing mechanisms, with experience in the private sector or management, and knowledge of the work of the United Nations • • Demonstrated research skills and understanding of finance and business development. • Knowledgeable of philanthropy, charity and on-line resource mobilization platforms in the Arab States region. • Able to handle confidential and sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner;
