The Opportunity

We invite applications for the role of Manager of New Business Development in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for coordinating the daily operations of the New Business Development team, aiding in resource mobilization for the Cox's Bazar Field office, and collaborating closely with the Director-NBD to refine and implement the fundraising strategy. Core duties encompass monitoring donor opportunities, conducting comprehensive research on potential donors/partners, and crafting compelling project proposals and concept papers. Additionally, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in facilitating program design workshops, maintaining donor databases, and ensuring adherence to quality standards in proposal submissions. Furthermore, the candidate will actively contribute to strategic planning initiatives, engage with external stakeholders and donors, and provide support for humanitarian response efforts as required, demonstrating versatility and commitment to the organization's objectives. This role demands strong analytical acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 6 years' hands-on experience in business development/resource mobilization or relevant areas, ideally within the context of international organizations or development agencies, showcasing a depth of industry knowledge and expertise. • Proven ability to collaboratively develop winning concept notes and project proposals, supported by a track record of successful fundraising efforts, indicating a keen understanding of donor requirements and effective proposal writing skills. • Comprehensive familiarity with donor landscape and proposal requirements, including EC/USAID/FCDO, corporates, etc., underscoring the candidate's capacity to navigate complex donor environments and tailor proposals accordingly. • Prior experience in responding to solicitations and/or managing projects funded by major donors, highlighting proficiency in managing donor relationships and delivering on donor expectations. • Demonstrated expertise in partnership negotiations and successful proposal development, reflecting strong interpersonal skills and the ability to forge mutually beneficial partnerships. • Exceptional conceptualization, design, and writing abilities, complemented by excellent English proficiency, essential for crafting compelling proposals and communication materials. • Profound understanding of children's issues in Bangladesh and development programming, indicating a commitment to addressing societal challenges and advancing child welfare initiatives. • Proven capability to distill complex information into concise and compelling narratives, showcasing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively to diverse stakeholders. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a collaborative mindset, non-discriminatory approach, and gender sensitivity, critical for fostering productive relationships and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams. • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field, with preference given to candidates with an A-level background, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
