Cameroon is experiencing multiple conflicts right now from multiple fronts including the Boko Haram Terrorist in the North, the effects of the Central African armed conflict in the East, the armed conflict in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of the country on top of which is the COVID-19 pandemic. All these conflict breeds sex and labour trafficking which seriously abuse women and girls including children. There is the phenomenon of children born from conflict related sexual violence with its traumatic effects on the mother, not forgetting the stigma these children suffer especially from those might have been abused by armed combatants. The sustainable recovery of survivors of these multiple forms of abuses requires a carefully developed holistic long-term approach. This approach requires well-articulated theory of change to create a personal recovery impact and/or community behavior change. The volunteer assignment will enable GLOWA to pursue an impact-oriented vision to sustainably provide recovery programs to survivor of human trafficking and conflict related violence with focus on women and children.

The online volunteers are asked to work closely with a team at GLOWA to assemble information on the mission and vision of GLOWA together with our program objectives and action plans to produce a theory of change consisting of tools and actions to help achieve GLOWA’s objectives of ensuring the sustainable recovery of survivors of violence and abuses from shocks and become resilience.

GLOWA islooking for volunteers who are visionary, creative and great communicators. Knowledge of project proposal writing will be an advantage
