French is the official language in many African countries where our audience originate including: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo, the Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, the Seychelles, and Togo.
Providing french language option will increase the reach of our information and support services.
We are looking for 2 online volunteers with experience in WordPress deployment and proficient in the French language to build the French version of our website (www.aaeafrica.org/fr). The online volunteers would be asked to replicate the full set of features and functions of the English language version of the website. as well as to make it user-friendly for French speakers. The selected online volunteers will receive the Terms of reference.
One online volunteer will deal with the Front end: Customize the website theme (color, font, layout etc) Place images and logo
Second one will manage the Backend: Install and setup required plugins Perfect site ergonomics. Ensure easy to master navigation plan; Ensure a well-presented content;
Developing and converting designs into themes. Experience in building both front-end and back-end of the website. Knowledge of WordPress Plugins. Excellent written communication skills with proven fluency in English and french. Good understanding of Web architecture.
