AAE is a volunteer-run organization fostering sustainable entrepreneurship in Africa. This assignment aims to produce knowledge products that help entrepreneurs understand policy, market characteristics, and reduce failure risks. The articles will be published on the AAE website to foster dialogue and support regional economic development.
The African Association of Entrepreneurs (AAE) is recruiting 20 Online Volunteers to contribute to our 2026 publication series. We are seeking high-quality, data-driven articles that analyze the realities of African SMEs.
In line with our strategic focus for 2026, we encourage topic proposals that address critical gaps such as Agribusiness financing, Digital tools for SMEs, and the Informal Economy.
Responsibilities: 1. Select a specific topic relevant to the African business environment. 2. Conduct desk research using localized data sources (e.g., government bulletins, AfDB reports) and field evidence. 3. Draft one analytical article (maximum 1,500 words) strictly adhering to MLA citation style. 4. Ensure cultural sensitivity: Avoid the "savior narrative" and emphasize the agency of African entrepreneurs. 5. Revise the draft based on feedback from the AAE Editorial team.
