The Role and Scope:

Deputy Director- Programme will lead program operations/project implementation, manage programme specialists and managers, and ensure the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality and integrated programme that align with Plan International's strategic objectives. This role is essential to drive Plan International Bangladesh’s vision, where children and youth, especially girls and young women, are recognized as leaders of change in gender norms and are empowered to make decisions about their lives. The portfolio consists of large numbers of projects that have a national reach, including strong integrated influencing, & campaign work, connecting from local, national and global level.

The Deputy Director-Programme (DDP) plays a leading role in ensuring overall program responsiveness, quality and impact. The DDP ensures that programs are evidence-based and needs-driven, monitored closely, and funded appropriately. Reporting to the Director-Programme and a member of the Extended Leadership Team, this portfolio will supervise technical program managers/specialists. The post holder is expected to make regular visits to all programme location, and to spend extended periods outside of their designated work station as well as represent to the relevant stakeholders and network.

This post holder will collaborate with different teams, i.e. Business, Partnership and Impact; Influencing, Communication and Campaign; Finance, Operations and System teams. The incumbent will maintain strong working relations with the Programme (Technical) Advisors to ensure timely technical input to deliver quality program, innovation and capture learning.

What we’re looking for:

Seasoned Leader: Demonstrated history of managing programmes ideally within the development and humanitarian sector.

Programme Manager: Ability to oversee the implementation and quality assurance of all programmes (at least 8-10 projects, may increase), ensuring alignment with Plan International Bangladesh's vision and strategic objectives.

Monitoring Capability: Establish and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to measure programme effectiveness and impact.

Collaborative Partner: Collaborate with partners to leverage resources and expertise, ensuring holistic and integrated programme delivery.

Team Expert: Through efficient hiring, capacity building and performance management, create and sustain a high performing program team.

Location: Dhaka

Duration: Two Years

Salary: Monthly consolidated salary range for this role is BDT 287,183.00 to BDT 358,979.00 (may vary based on experience) along with other benefits i.e. Life Insurance, Hospitalization Insurance coverage along with Out Patient Treatment Benefit.
