The Deputy Director, Learning & Innovation is a new, full-time remote position that provides leadership and strategic management for the organization. The position reports to the Executive Director and oversees a team of Partnership Specialists, Project Managers and Information Technology Coordinators to facilitate learning and impact across the organization.

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Major Responsibilities:

Learning & Training

- Oversee new partner and new staff trainings; develop self-guided and facilitator-supported sessions, materials resources to ensure partners and staff have clarity on core concepts, process, procedures, systems - Facilitate processes, platforms and strategies to assure robust two-way feedback and exchange between CEO’s implementing partners and our internal teams - Lead in developing and monitoring key impact KPIs - Create self-help and guided tools and resources to educate and on-board prospective and new partners

Impact & Innovation

- Lead in implementation and monitoring of pilot loan programs or initiatives; support collecting data and facilitate reporting - Lead in ongoing data quality and collection efforts; collaborate closely with Communications & Credit teams in analysis and dissemination of learnings through appropriate channels - Work closely with the Director of Credit Strategy to develop and implement strategic initiatives for innovation and impact

Technology

- Oversee development of CEO’s primary internal database - Oversee integration of core IT systems, including ZenDesk CRM, loan manager, finance and other critical components of the company’s technology stack - Serve as lead admin for CEO’s ZenDesk CRM platform and support training and maintenance for current and new lending, origination and other technology platforms as required

Team Management

- Supervise and mentor a team of project management and IT coordinator staff - Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department

Job Requirements:

- Degree in Education, Business Administration, Innovation Management, or a related field; experience in lieu of formal education credentials is ok - Proven experience in a leadership role at a CDFI overseeing learning and development, strategic partnerships, and innovation initiatives - 5 years of related experience - Strong understanding of educational methodologies, partnership development, and innovation processes. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic planning skills - Experience working in diverse, non-profit setting offering economic development services and programs to low-income, credit-thin populations - High degree of professional integrity; ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data - Solid organizational skills: detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines - Ability to work independently, be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment - Excellent communication, analysis and negotiation skill, availability to work with a variety of stakeholders - Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. - Solid Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, other financial-related software required

- This is a remote position that can accommodate candidates in any U.S. State. The majority of the workday is at a computer terminal. While remote, the position may require travel to conferences or in-person team meetings, estimated to be less than 5% time.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

US Benefits: The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits.
