UNDP, in collaboration with national governments and various partners, has developed health investment cases. The data and findings from these investment cases are now being collected and summarized to highlight key trends and statistics across different countries and health topics.

The Online Volunteer will contribute to data research and analytics, organizing a large dataset to track the various variables used in UNDP's health investment cases. Additionally, the volunteer will support with initial economic modelling and may be involved in other data collection and modelling tasks, such as troubleshooting Excel-based models in the event of unexpected results. The Online Volunteer is expected to develop initial economic models, such as a model assessing the gender impact of health taxation and tobacco control, using Excel, Stata, or R, depending on the preferred software of the volunteer.

Depending on the volunteer's skills, abilities, and interests, they may assist UNDP economists with ongoing projects related to health taxes, road safety, neglected tropical diseases, and other health topics.

Upon completion of the assignment, the Online Volunteer will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for their contribution. Please note that no financial compensation is provided for this online volunteering opportunity.

The Online Volunteers are expected to be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience in economic modelling and data analytics. At a minimum, a bachelor's degree or equivalent in statistics, economics,, finance or a relevant field is needed to perform this task. Highlighting previous modelling experience and Excel skills in the application is essential.
