The HIV and Health Group is developing a Heat Map covering UNDP’s portfolio nexus on health, environment, and energy. The work is being conducted jointly with the Environment Community of Practices and the Data team. A search has been conducted of all UNDP projects dealing with this nexus, resulting in a database of 14,000 projects. The aim of the assignment is to review the projects and cluster them according to a taxonomy as well as looking at geographical spread, size and resources with the goal of developing a heat map visualization of the portfolio.

We are looking for three Online Volunteers who under the guidance of the Global Environment and Health Adviser and the Community Manager HIV and Health support our organization/project team with conducting a qualitative/quantitative data analysis. The Online Volunteer will be responsible for: - Conduct analysis of data and identify relevant trends, patterns, and key findings - Develop a report, according to agreed reporting plan, including visualization and narrative interpretations of findings as required

The Online Volunteer will be provided with datasets to conduct the analysis and is required to update on the progress during regular calls.

The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the HIV and Health team and SDG Integration team at UNDP and learn about the ways in which data can support strategic decision making, programming and resource mobilisation.

Candidates should have advanced computer skills. Strong analytical and writing skills as well as ability to provide and present data in a concise manner is required.

A degree in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, or other related fields is considered an asset. Proficiency in analytical software is desirable.
