The Data Excellence team at IRC is responsible for enterprise data management to ensure the ability to have data-informed decisions with access to high quality and timely data. The Data Excellence team sets enterprise policies, standards, and ensures high quality enterprise data analytics are available for cross-functional data-driven decision-making by establishing and cultivating relationships across the organization, driving continuous improvement, and delivering value through the implementation of high-quality, strategic data programs.

We are looking for a collaborative and resilient Power Platform Data Analyst to administer and monitor the enterprise environment of Power BI licenses and dashboards/reports.

Major Responsibilities:

• Partner with IT stakeholders, specifically Application Support/Helpdesk teams, on ongoing process for Power Platform Administration and License Management

• Monitor performance and usage of Power BI reports/dashboards.

• Maintain repository of Power Platform Business Cases.

• Automate process for Power Platform Business Case Management.

• Develop enterprise-wide Power Platform training and guidance materials.

• Establish a community of practice to share and communicate knowledge across the organization.

• Support troubleshooting Power Platform technical issues.

• Partner with Data Excellence team members to report on Power Platform usage, and provide insights into trend analytics

• Lead enterprise Administration of Power Platform, inclusive of the Power BI License and Workspace usage

• Develop and maintain automated Power BI reporting for monitoring compliance of Power BI dashboard data against enterprise Power Platform Policies

• Audit Power BI License use on a quarterly basis to manage cost.

• Document business requirements and summarize meeting discussions.

• Translate business needs to technical specifications.

• Design, build and deploy data apps and dashboards and provide the needed maintenance and support after deployment.

• Conduct testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting on databases, data pipelines, and data dashboards.

• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate application database systems and troubleshoot issues.

• Develop and execute database queries/views and conduct analyses.

• Develop and update technical documentation, help text, and user guides.

Job Requirements:

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

• 2-4 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, BI development or other related fields.

• Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.

• Experience with researching and implementing mechanisms to monitor and administer an enterprise Microsoft Power Platform.

• Familiarity with BI technologies.

• Microsoft Power BI experience is required.

• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server.

• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.

• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with remote teammates and users.

Education: As a technical position, a STEM degree is preferred, with an emphasis on analytic rigor, or relevant work experience accepted.

Preferred experience & skills:

• +2 years of experience working with MS Power BI and or Power Platform.

• Working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, MS Teams

• Experience with data mart and warehousing

• Knowledge of Power Query and, DAX/MDX scripting language

• Ability to bring structure to unstructured situations.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

• Ability to empathize with users to effectively advocate and drive solutions.

• Ability to take initiative and be innovative – bias for action and ownership.

• Ability to lead and facilitate effectively in self-organizing teams.

• Ability to communicate tradeoffs.

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
