Overview
Support field testing of a disaster data collection toolkit.
You have:
- Educational Background (or currently studying): Studies or practical experience in disaster management, social sciences, data collection, or related fields.
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO).
- Ability to work in diverse teams, independently.
- Collaborative approach with openness to feedback and iterative improvements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power tools (e.g. power automate) is an asset.
Accurate, timely, and localized disaster data is essential for resilience planning. UNDP Armenia and Tech4R are piloting a modular disaster data collection toolkit based on Kobo Toolbox and other open-source platforms. Volunteers will support field testing, ensuring usability, data quality, and multilingual accessibility.
The Data Collection Support Volunteer will:
• Conduct pilot data collection exercises using Kobo Toolbox or similar platforms. • Conduct data quality checks, troubleshooting, and basic digital literacy. • Support translation and localization of forms and training materials into Armenian and Russian. • Document lessons learned and feedback from training and pilots for continuous improvement.

• Educational Background (or currently studying): Studies or practical experience in disaster management, social sciences, data collection, or related fields. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO). • Communication: Ability to work in diverse teams, independently. • Teamwork: Collaborative approach with openness to feedback and iterative improvements. • Knowledge of Miscrosoft power tools (e.g. power automate) is an asset
