Housed at the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community, is a network of over 10,000 young changemakers driving positive social change in more than 500 capital cities, remote islands and refugee camps in 150 countries and territories worldwide. In each area, Global Shapers work together to deliver grassroots projects to respond to disasters, fight climate change, promote inclusion and much more.

Why we are recruiting

Each year, we open 25-50 city-based hubs worldwide and welcome over 2,000 new members to the Global Shapers Community. Additionally, Global Shapers implement between 350-500 grassroots projects per year and collaborate on 10 multi-city initiatives. To track engagement and project outcomes, we are seeking a Data & Analytics Specialist to serve in an administrative and strategic support capacity.

Reporting lines and interactions The Data & Analytics Specialist, based in Geneva, Switzerland, will report to the Operations Lead on the Global Shapers Team. This role will involve collaborative efforts with all Global Shapers Community Managers and the Head of the Global Shapers Community.

Main responsibilities

  • CRM Data Entry: Accurately enter, update and optimize membership data in Salesforce, as well as develop reports and dashboards to visualize data for strategic community initiatives.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the Community Management, Project Management and Hub Election dashboards, ensuring timely and accurate data for decision-making and forecasting.
  • Impact Reporting: Support the community’s annual impact strategy, including disseminating our impact survey to community members, facilitating data collection, and supporting data analysis.
  • Briefing Materials: Draft, edit, and submit briefing materials for community reports, including our Annual Report and Impact Report, and relevant thought leadership / Agenda op-eds.
  • Expense Administration: Ensure all expense reimbursements are submitted accurately and contribute to financial reporting, account reconciliations and budget analysis.
  • Forum Integration: Act as a liaison between the Global Shapers Community and the Forum’s Digital Teams to help drive digital success and innovation for the Global Shapers Team.
  • Documentation: Maintain digital resources for the Global Shapers Team and Community members including online learning materials, certifications, events calendars, distribution lists and more.
  • Event Support: Contribute to the preparation, development and delivery of key events, including event setup in Salesforce, participant coding, technical support and digital event curation.

Preferred qualifications

  • Advanced university degree in data science, economics, social sciences, or other relevant fields.
  • Exceptional project manager – effectively plans and executes short- and long-term projects.
  • Communicates proactively and collaborates effectively to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Strong prioritization skills to fulfil responsibilities in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about supporting youth leaders, accelerating youth impact and amplifying youth voices.
  • Experience facilitating high level interactions and inspiring discussions with constituents.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written, digital and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous Salesforce or other CRM software experience is a plus.
