Contract

Org. Setting and Reporting

This position is located in Human Resources Section (HRS) in UNMIK. The incumbent will report to Chief Human Resources Officer and/or her delegate.

Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, Data Analysis Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: • Assists with maintaining an inventory of organizational needs and requirements, and assists with reports and communication in HRS. • Assists with process improvement mechanisms of HRS. • Assists with data acquisition and data cleansing in HRS. • Assists in maintaining HR databases, with data collection efforts, create statistics • Assists with the identification and analysis of patterns in data using standard techniques • Assists with the preparation of data sets and responds to queries; and maintains/updates web pages in HRS. • Extract, manipulate, integrate, and prepare data for analysis, dashboards, monitoring and visualization and reporting using tools such as Power BI, etc. • Assist in performing periodic data quality control and ensure that governance processes are in place and are being followed in line with Key Performance Indicators of HRS. • Coordinate with UNMIK Performance Cell for standardization of dashboards and automation. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational certificate in Data Analysis, Data Science or related learning credential is required.

Job - Specific Qualification

Certification in data analytics, big data, Google analytics, Power BI or similar is required. Certification in Project Management (PRINCE2) or equivalent is desirable.

Work Experience

Five (5) years of experience in in data science, data analytics, applied mathematics, information management or related area is required. Two (2) years of experience using business intelligence (BI) tool like MicroSoft PowerBI is desirable. Experience in sourcing, cleaning and preparing/integrating data, selecting and developing visualizations is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in oral and written English is required. NOTE: Fluency equals a rating of "fluent" in all four areas (read, write, speak, understand) and "knowledge of" equals a rating of "confident" in two of the four areas.

Assessment

Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
