Result of Service The outputs expected from the IC Data Analysis Assistant are:

  • Understanding the business requirements so as to formulate the problems to solve and restrict the slice of data to be explored.
  • Collecting data from various sources.
  • Performing cleansing, processing, and validation on the data subject to analyze, in order to ensure its quality.
  • Exploring and visualising data.
  • Performing statistical analysis and experiments to derive business insights.
  • Clearly communicating the findings from the analysis to turn information into something actionable through reports, dashboards, and/or presentations.

An interim performance evaluation is expected to be conducted at the end of the six months to ensure that the performance is being monitored appropriately.

Work Location Bogota

Expected duration Six (6) months.

Duties and Responsibilities Support the monitoring of key indicators and provide information to Chief Performance Management Unit to analyse the Supply Chain Service Delivery and Operations and Resource Management Performance against established benchmarks and performance targets. Assist in the collection and provision of data for the preparation of performance reports based on the established key performance indicators (KPI), matrixes, corporate targets, and action plans.

Support the development of mission-specific KPIs and dashboards for Business Intelligence (BI) by analyzing business processes and process improvement opportunities.

Assist with the timely collection of information on supply chain processes, performance and associates root cause analysis for underperformance which helps drive business results and enable the decision-making process.

Assist with the data validation, identification and rectification of data issues and inconsistencies, and implement measures for quality assurance.

Maintain library of practices and procedures to enable development of guidance on Supply Chain Business Intelligence and Performance Management.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related area is required. Experience working with Excel and Data Base Management is required. Experience in sourcing, cleaning, and preparing data, selecting, and developing visualisation/metrics that enable easy communication/interpretation by the user is desirable. Experience in Supply Chain Performance Management is desirable.

Languages Languages: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position(s) advertised, fluency in written and verbal English & Spanish is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
