You have:

  • A First level university degree in Public administration, International trade, Customs, Economics, Law, Finance or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years Experience in the areas of trade facilitation, integrated border management, customs and international trade or related area is required.
  • Experience of dealing with cross-border customs transit and risk-management is required.
  • Experience of dealing with Customs modernization projects is desirable.
  • Experience of work in Customs Administration and in international environment is desirable.
  • Fluency written and oral in English is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator for CEE and Central Asia, the incumbent will undertake the following duties:  Support the UNCTAD International staff in the adaptation and customisation of e-Borders components to Mongolia national requirements.  Translation of the e-Borders screens, messages and reports into the national language(s)/ alphabet(s);  Definition/amendment of the Customs’ processing-flows related to the transit of goods through Mongolia territory.  Definition/amendment of the Customs’ processing-flows for transit sheds, guarantees and other components.  Assistance in Testing of e-Borders prototype, including  Support the piloting of e-Borders components

Qualifications/special skills
