How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the NO2 Corporate Fundraising Officer, the Corporate Fundraising Officer will be responsible for providing professional expertise and assistance in fundraising, with a strong focus on the development of new partnerships, considering marketing-based activation as well as innovative approaches for customer mobilization to generate sustainable and strategic revenues; ensure maximum profitability to implement UNICEF national and global goals. The key functions and accountabilities are:

Fundraising strategy with the coordination and leadership of the Corporate Acquisition Officer, establish Corporate Partnership plan as part of overall Resource Mobilization and Program Strategy. Develop proposals and negotiate agreements for partnerships. Draft contracts with the necessary legal support. Analyze the operational actions and needs and take the necessary steps to implement the programmes of each partnership agreement. Support all aspects of the implementation of the marketing-based campaign including development of materials, training, and communication, and coordinate internally the implementation of the partnership. Ensure the entire process of partnership development follows UNICEF guidelines. Evaluate and analyze the results of the partnership to ensure that strategies were appropriate to planned objectives.

Partners Prospection involves mapping and approaching potential business partners to generate income for UNICEF Brazil's programs. The goal is to engage companies in special marketing campaigns to increase UNICEF’s revenue. The process also involves developing and implementing innovative campaigns to activate customer fundraising alliances and engage more stakeholders. Results and recommendations are reported to supervisors, and active communication is maintained with other teams to gather necessary information and materials for new partnerships.

Monitoring and evaluating the progress of decisions and action plans, maintaining workflow and information flow in the absence of the supervisor, assisting in preparing resource mobilization and partnership strategy, budget, and revenue forecast, and preparing fundraising reports and maintaining control records.

Compliance with UNICEF’s rules and guidelines for screening all private partners and closing a proposal agreement as per resource mobilization and partnership recommendations and guidelines. Ensure partner development follows UNICEF guidelines including screening and proposal submissions, Due Diligence/compliance process, and use of UNICEF standard contracts.

Ensure administrative tasks and responsibilities are effectively carried out and delivered. Maintain records of corporate partners’ databases and files. Contact companies as based on research and Salesforce criteria. Feed business files and records, filing information about companies and suppliers engaged in the alliance. Support the NO2 with relevant materials for New Business plan. Control income and expenditure for the alliances under your management.

Minimum requirements:

  • University degree in Marketing, International Relations, Communication, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in Private Sector Fundraising, Corporate Alliances, Commercial Skills, Project writing and/or Marketing/Customer engagement.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese required.

Desirables:

  • Specialized skills in social Projects and ESG is an asset.
  • Additional years of relevant experience is an asset.
  • Experience in international organizations is an asset.
