You have:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Cook and Cleaner in a humanitarian/recovery context.
- Some knowledge of English language.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Able to communicate, read and write in local languages Pashto and Dari.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Contract

Purpose of the Job
The post holder will have the overall responsibility of cooking and cleaning the Zabul office including the guesthouse. He will provide hygienic food in accordance with assigned lunch menu for all staff, keep the kitchen and all the appliances organized and tidy; clean office building with surrounding which includes all the required items in considering the required hygienic measurements and make sure the office supplies and utilities for all staff are prepared and provided on timely manner.

Specific responsibilities
Cooking
- Proper management of kitchen, while taking into account the food, safety procedures and pre-stablished cooking menu.
- Kitchen chores optimization with respect to cooking quality, standard, cleanness, presentation, and timely delivery of services.
- Communicating the balances level and status with employee prior to its liquidation in order to avoid cash crunch situation and maintain adequate level of cash liquidity for kitchen chores.
- Optimum presentation of the kitchen, showing professionalism while rendering services, dealing and communicating with employees.
- Enhanced communication with employees, fluency in encoding and decoding the feedback coming from employees
- Handling multiple tasks, serving multiple order at a time, with efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
- Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides on timely manner
- Sanitizing and cleaning the kitchen, utensils and all the kitchen appliances in a well manner.
Cleaning
- Keep office departments, skype room and meeting hall’s including its furniture door, windows, IT and electrical equipment clean and hygienic.
- Clean the office yard and garden clean, remove the trash and garbage from office and dispose in the assigned place
- Maintain the meeting hall and skype room clean, organized and all the required equipment and office supplies are provided on regular basis.
- Make sure all the cleaning materials are available in stock for toilets cleaning
- Report any required services for the office maintenance and repairing of damaged or broken assets.
- Assist in moving the required office furniture from one location to another location or assign to the responsible person inline of supervisor’s instruction.
- Wash the curtains for tall the departments and clothes for the international staff.
- Clean the guesthouse and complete all the necessary items, office supplies and check all the equipment are functioning properly before the guests arrival.
- Perform all other work assigned or instructed by supervisor
Generic professional competencies:
- 2-3 years of Experience from working as a Cook and Cleaner in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Some knowledge of English Language
