Background and context** UNESCO Jakarta Culture Unit executes a youth empowerment programme, **Creative Youth at Indonesian Heritage Sites** / **Kita Muda Kreatif** (KMK programme), with the funding support of Citi Foundation. The programme builds the business capacity of young cultural entrepreneurs living around the famous heritage destinations including UNESCO World Heritage sites through a series of customized trainings, mentorship, events and networking. Its 5th phase, covering Central Java, Yogyakarta, Toba, Lombok and Bali is ending in December 2022. Its 6th phase (2022-2023) starting from December 2022 will focus on the capacity-building of youth with disabilities in the nine districts of the three provinces: Yogyakarta (Yogyakarta and Sleman/Prambanan), Central Java (Semarang, Sragen, Klaten, Magelang, Solo ) and Bali (Denpasar and Tabanan). Long Description ---------------- **II. Purpose of the Assignment / Expected Outputs** The incumbent will assist UNESCO Jakarta office in following up with the Phase 5 beneficiaries in **Toba, Lombok and Bali** of approximately 150 in number to monitor the progress in their business and share the information on UNESCO trainings and events that they can participate. The incumbent will further act as liaison person and assist the UNESCO Jakarta Office, in coordinating and monitoring the work of various implementing partners **in Bali** to deliver the following overall expected outputs of Creative Youth Programme phase 6: - A comprehensive participatory data collection of youth entrepreneurs with disabilities in the three targeted provinces, with a minimum of 50 PwDs and 100 youth supporting PwDs. - By the end of the phase 6, 100 youths will have developed additional knowledge, network, and skills to build an inclusive business supporting the cause of PwD and other minorities. Out of 100 total youths, at least 70% should complete a full inclusive business training package. - As a result of project intervention and technical support, 50 PwDs from the three targeted provinces will participate in business and branding development training. At least 80% of them (40 of 50) will enhance their marketing and communication strategies by applying new branding tools. Long Description ---------------- **III. Duties and Responsibilities** Under the authority of the Director of UNESCO Office, Jakarta, and direct supervision of the Programme Specialist of Culture and in coordination with the Culture Unit of UNESCO Office, Jakarta, the incumbent shall provide professional and technical support to the Culture Unit in the follow up of the 5th phase of the KMK in Toba and Lombok, and the implementation of the 6th Phase of KMK programme in Bali and the delivery of the expected outputs defined above. The incumbent shall: 1\. Assist in planning, implementing and coordinating follow-up activities for the beneficiaries of Phase 5 KMK programme in Toba, Lombok and Bali; 2\. Assist in planning, implementing and coordinating the Phase 6 KMK programme activities in Denpasar and Tabanan districts of Bali Province; 3\. Participate in meetings related to the KMK Programme and brief partners on the KMK Programme work plan; Long Description ---------------- 4\. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the activities by local project partners to ensure timely delivery and quality of services; and update UNESCO and the donors on a regular basis. 5\. Assist in the organization of technical meetings, workshops and training activities, and take the responsibility for related logistic and administrative matters. 6\. Undertake field missions within Bali, Toba, Lombok and Jakarta as may be instructed by UNESCO for the KMK programme coordination. 7\. Maintain close contact with the programme beneficiaries on a regular basis to collect their feedbacks on the programme activities;monitor their learning progress; and disseminate information about UNESCO trainings and events 8\. Gather relevant data from the partners to capture the progress of the project and assess the programme impacts. 9\. Liaise with the local government authorities to provide reports and information on the programme activities in a timely manner at their request. 10\. Promote the visibility of the KMK programme, through regular contributions to the UNESCO and KMK Programme social media accounts, office brochures, annual reports and other promotional materials. 11\. Collect high quality photos and mini videos with mobile phone on the beneficiaries and programme activities for project documentation and reporting. **IV. Reporting and deliverables:** A progress report shall be submitted monthly and a final report to be submitted by end of contract. Minutes, other meeting documents, and communication materials are to be submitted on ad-hoc basis as and when they are produced. The monthly progress report shall make reference to: 1. The achievements, implementation/progress and pending activities for the effective implementation of the Phase 6 KMK Programme and Phase 5 KMK Programme follow up activities; 2. Planned activities and target outputs of the next month; 3. Missions undertaken, where relevant, their activities and outcomes; and planned missions of the coming months. 4. List of partners met and points discussed; 5. communication materials (brochures, annual reports, etc.) on the KMK programme including updates for the UNESCO website and social media outlets. Short Description ----------------- **V. Working conditions and schedule:** Position is based in Bali either in Denpasar or Tabanan districts. Qualifications:** **Education**: Advanced degree (Master) or Bachelor with 5 years of working experience in the relevant field, in human and/or social sciences from a recognized and reputable university, with knowledge on issues related to cultural heritage and community development. **Work Experience**: At least 5 years of successful relevant professional experience (or 7 years in case of Bachelor degree) in project coordination, preferably in governmental, intergovernmental, or non‐governmental agencies. Experience in development work with an international organization is an advantage; **Languages**: Good oral and written skill in English, in particular the ability to draft documents and express views in a clear and concise manner. Fluency in written and spoken Indonesia is required. **Other Skills**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, information technology, networking and negotiating skills.
