Contract

This is a Consultancy contract. More about Consultancy contracts.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, people centric support.

UNICEF launched the Headquarters Efficiencies Initiative (HQEI) in 2021, which is the biggest change management initiative the organization has embarked on. The HQEI envisions that by end of 2025, UNICEF’s headquarters resources and capacities are positioned across teams, functions and geographies to maximize both costs and non-financial efficiencies in accelerating and sustaining results for children.

As part of the HQEI Staff Support Strategy to mitigate impacts of this unprecedented change, a Staff Support Unit (SSU) was established by the Division of Human Resources (DHR) to serve as a central resource for staff during the HQ transition to more cost-effective locations. The SSU functions as a referral service and advisory unit to staff affected by the HQEI in NYHQ, Geneva and other HQ outposted locations. One of the key staff support measures is around career support. DHR SSU is hiring a consultant to design and deliver career management training programs to all staff categories around specific topics.

Under the guidance of the HR Manager, Staff Support Unit, the consultant is expected to provide career support training to HQEI impacted staff in New York and Geneva offices. This consultancy assignment is mostly remote-based although travel may be required for delivery of some of these sessions.

How can you make a difference?

The specific tasks are as follows: - Coordinate and lead the design and development of the training sessions in close consultation with SSU. - Ensure successful implementation, beginning from content development all the way through implementation. - Ensure design and delivery of six (6) career support workshops throughout the contract period, for capacity building in various areas of work, addressed to PFP staff in Geneva and relocating Divisions based in New York.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

a) Education

- Advanced degree in Human Resources Management (HRM), Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a relevant social sciences field. - A first university degree and 2 years of additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
