ICPSD SDG AI Lab and Samsung are joining forces to implement the Innovation Campus Project in Turkiye. The Innovation Campus Project aims to enable the next-generation labour force to work with future-shaping technologies, provide young people with the technical skills they need to thrive in and lead the 4th Industrial Revolution, and accelerate Türkiye’s digital transformation by addressing the skills gap. On 6 February 2023, two devastating earthquakes, measuring 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude on the Richter Scale, struck Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye. Impacts have been felt across ten provinces in Türkiye and have caused catastrophic devastation, with at least 14 million people directly impacted in Türkiye. The programme will contribute to the training of disadvantaged young people with a priority given to the youth displaced by the earthquake, on advanced technologies (such as AI, IoT and Big Data).

Innovation Campus starts the Artificial Intelligence cohort in May 2024. The volunteers are expected to complete their preparations before the training and deliver 2 live classes in Turkish starting from June 2024. This position will support The Center or SDGs in general in the means of advanced technologies.

The Docker Specialist volunteer is expected to • Conduct a minimum of 1 online session in Turkish • Cover "Containerization with Docker" Course topics and ensure a comprehensive understanding among students. • Possess advanced knowledge of Containerization with Docker to effectively convey complex concepts. • Demonstrate practical skills through live coding sessions. • Develop and prepare assignments that reinforce the concepts covered in the sessions. • Provide a pre-recorded demo for each session. • Dedicate sufficient time for preparation, teaching, and interaction with students (Evening sessions during the weekdays and morning sessions on the weekend)

  • Minimum a senior year student, ideally a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or in a relevant field, with strong programming background.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
