UNDP works extensively on youth development in particular youth economic empowerment. The development of the framework and the country-specific strategy itself will aim to strengthen youth engagement across Asia and the Pacific, through UNDP programs and projects.
The youth teams at UNDP India and the Philippines are developing a Youth Strategy Framework. The OUNVs would be required to conduct a literature review of existing youth strategies in the UN system (UN Scorecard, Youth2030 etc.) as well as other well known youth strategies (OECD, USAID) and country relevant documents to inform the development of the Framework. They would also be required to conduct literature reviews on the status of youth development in India and the Philippines against criteria such as education, skilling, employment, health, vulnerable youth groups etc. from the gender lens.
Sound research skills (focus on qualitative research and experience in conducting literature reviews). MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel) A team player who is open to learning.
