The Community Mobilizer will implement activities for the Philippines South Mindanao Earthquake Response in General Santos and Sarangani Province. The response and recovery activities include the delivery of interventions for Shelter, Livelihoods, WASH, Health, Education, and Protection. He/She will directly report to the Response Operations team leader. He/She demonstrates a Christ-centered life and work in serving children, families, communities, and WV team.
This is a fixed post for two months based in Polomolok and covering areas in General Santos and Sarangani.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and quality implementation of response activities and strategize the day-to-day activities.
- Ensure programme planning is informed by technical standards and operational viability according to the context and assessment results.
- Ensure that the entire coordination process with the stakeholders, beneficiary targeting and validation process are participatory, equal, transparent, and conflict-sensitive.
- In coordination with Programmes, ensure that post-distribution documentation are properly accomplished such as but not limited to the proper disaggregation of reach by sex, age, and disability.
- In coordination with Programmes, ensure that all feedback received from the stakeholders are acted upon, and endorsed as necessary to the appropriate EMS function.
- In coordination with the other Functions, plan and conduct sector-specific humanitarian interventions.
- Coordinate with Support services to ensure timely provision of funds, staff equipment, vehicles, and supplies to ensure rapid response implementation.
- Identify, report, and refer operational blockages to the Response Manager and Security to be addressed through established and/or existing networks.
