The UN RCO in Moldova co-chairs the UN Communication Group and supports the implementation of the UN Communication Strategy and Annual Communication Plans. Agencies join their efforts to communicate together about the UN work and results achieved by the Country Team as well as to promote the achievement of SDGs in the Republic of Moldova by 2030. One of the channels we use to inform our development partners, government counterparts, civil society and staff about these are the monthly online newsletters. They are sent to over 1000 persons every month. Another impactful tool to speak about UN development support provided to the country is human stories. These are being published on our web pages and shared with mass-media to reach the general public. Thus, we are looking for a volunteer to support RCO in ensuring a better visibility of UN work in Moldova. This is a great opportunity to get to know how the UN functions as a whole and moreover how joint communication products are being developed by working closely with UN RCO Communications Officer and UN Communication Group. It can be a valuable experience for your future career be it in the UN system or any other organization.

Under the guidance of the Communication Officer of the RCO, the volunteer will: - develop the UN monthly newsletters (4) using the existing news and information provided by the RCO and the UN entities, - write 3 stories and 5 press releases, - proofread existing communication short documents in English.

Candidates should demonstrate:

At least 6 months of experience in institutional communication Experience using online communication tools, including online newsletter platforms Experience writing press releases & stories Experience in proofreading different documents and communication materials in English
