Collaborate with Online Volunteers for Helping Acid Attack Survivors

(The purpose of this DOA is to complete a recording gap in UVP per guidance to MDF from UNV. This DOA Assignment has already been completed for MDF by an online volunteer on onlinevolunteering.org.)

Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is committed to ending violence against women, promoting human rights and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To accomplish this purpose, Project Back to Job was started by MDF in 2017 with the mission to help acid attack victims resume a normal life. Project Back to Job has been implemented by MDF through online volunteering support from 2017 to 2019. In 2023, MDF began the work to revive its efforts on Project Back to Job - more details will be available soon on MDF website.

According to research conducted by MDF, with the support of online volunteers, it was found that 80% of the acid attack victims worldwide are women. Thus, Project Back to Job plays a key role in helping MDF advance the object of ending violence against women.

Acid attack victims are mostly people with Disabilities. Disability inclusion is very important for Sustainable Development Goals achievement and Leave No One Behind (LNOB) agenda. To that end, we are seeking to collaborate with Online Volunteers in implementing the Project Back to Job that aims to establish that we will not let acid attacks corrode lives. This is aimed to be accomplished by various means such as education, technical empowerment, awareness, providing aid, and more.

Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is seeking to collaborate with online volunteer to support the implementation of Project Back to Job aimed to help acid attack survivors globally resume a normal life.

As part of this, the online volunteer will perform various sub-tasks such as:

a) Define and contribute to program strategy of Project Back to Job b) Collaborate and engage with 40+ new online volunteers who are to be engaged by using onlinevolunteering.org c) Engage the 40+ new online volunteers using online collaboration mechanism and systems such as WhatsApp, Google Drive, Google Meets etc, d) Build the team by providing guidance, education, coach and various team building activities e) Track progress made by the 40+ online volunteers against the program strategy f) Complete performance evaluations of the 40+ online volunteers and issue certificates to them using onlinevolunteering.org
