Case Worker - Bekaa

Job Description

The WPE Case Worker will be responsible for providing social services ensuring alignment with key protection principles including a survivor-centered approach, confidentiality, and Do no Harm approach, and women and girls inclusion in the program. The caseworker will work closely with women and girls while ensuring the provision of comprehensive and appropriate case management services in line with National Case Management Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), and psychosocial support services for vulnerable women and girls, including survivors and non-survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). The incumbent will work in Bekaa (North, Central, and West Bekaa) in center-based and community-based safe spaces, she will conduct field visits and weekly/daily follow-up with program cases in line with case action plans. She will be responsible for close coordination with external agencies for service provision and referrals to National mechanisms to report cases of women and girls at low, moderate, and high risk of harm as per the national SOPs to ensure their safety, empowerment, and support. Throughout the implementation of the program, the case worker will be committed to supporting the national system through coordination, exploring opportunities for collaboration, and information sharing on services, in addition to adhering to National policies, legal framework, etc.

Major Responsibilities:

- Provide case management services for women and girls in need while ensuring proper documentation of files in line with the national SOPs for case management and global case management guidelines. - The caseworkers will be fully responsible for assessing the level of risk the client is exposed to and developing safety and action plans, implementation of the plan, appropriate follow-up and conducting referrals, and case closure. She is also responsible for reporting cases that may evolve into high-risk cases to the direct and technical supervisors. - Actively participate in monthly case management conference meetings and contribute to the development of the case management component. - Maintain communication with all internal sectors (Child protection, protection, etc.) to ensure collaboration and coordination and to monitor trends that indicate negative or positive implications on the beneficiaries. - Plan and conduct psychosocial support sessions to beneficiaries at the Women and girls’ community center and in the mobile locations, - Conduct safety audits and GBV risk mitigation tools in the field, as per the need, - Contribute and update service mapping of service providers within the areas of intervention to ensure caseworkers are informed of all available services. - Provide direct age-appropriate and specialized support and care for vulnerable adolescent girls and children (including survivors of GBV), counseling, and case management while ensuring age-appropriate engagement and decision-making by survivors, and the Do-no-Harm approach. - Prepare and submit reports and documentation for activities in a timely manner and report directly to the senior case management officer.

Others:

- Mobilize and register participants in the center and the mobile locations. - Facilitate structured group sessions using available guidance. - Other duties assigned by the supervisor and technical officer to ensure the development of the IRC program.

Monitoring & Reporting.

- Support tracking of WGCC and mobile activities’ beneficiaries using agreed M&E tools. - Participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality case management, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

- University degree in social work or any other field such as psychology or social science. - At least six months of counseling experience with issues relating to violence against women and girls, gender and development, child protection, or social change. - Clear understanding of gender inequality, and issues surrounding violence against women and girls. - The ability to always maintain confidentiality and respect for clients is essential. - Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail. - Capable of managing and facilitating group discussions with program participants, local officials, partners, and all levels of staff. - Ability to work as a member of a team essential. - Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and good English.

Working Environment****: The position will be based in Zahle-Bekaa with daily travel to program locations. Security clearance will be obtained daily.
