UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest, Hungary supports UNICEF operations globally in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and Information Technology.

In this context, GSSC often partners with the Division of ICT and other divisions, in joint projects as part of the continuous process improvement to streamline processes and gain efficiency. Most of these projects are either “end-user facing” to gain efficiency for our customers and/or “back-end” solutions to improve internal processes for our processors and business partners.

How can you make a difference?

To ensure successful implementation of identified projects, the objective of this appointment is to support Business Analysis team to coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and update the project team of the progress, benefits realizations, risks and needed interventions during the whole project’s lifecycle.

This will involve:

  • Assist the project team in day-to-day project management and coordination with the respective project stakeholders
  • Review project related documentation and ensure the documents fully met with the project business requirements prior to further submission to the respective stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with both technical and business teams, and end-users to outline the project scope, manage vendor relationships
  • Prepare and maintain the Projects master schedule for overall project implementation
  • Support in preparing and organizing meetings/workshop of project teams and all other stakeholders as needed
  • Facilitate collaboration between process owners, end-users, and stakeholders to convert business requirements to functional requirements
  • Ensure that costs, timelines, and deliverables are in line with agreements
  • Provide inputs on benefit realization parts and proper cost savings calculations in multi-year projects.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A secondary education diploma
  • 3 years of related professional experience for candidates holding university degree in business administration or related field
  • 7 years of related professional experience for candidates without university degree
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in project management experience in IT project management (medium scale) with a proven track record of interfacing with multiple levels of the organization and successful project completion
  • Analyze, plan and develop documented framework and standards in reference to efficiency drivers is required
  • Significant experience collaborating across multiple functions and working with operational SMEs, technical resources/ infrastructure, and architecture teams
  • Excellent understanding of the project lifecycle and project management methodology
  • Formal training in business analytics, project management, information technology, or related field is highly desirable
  • Demonstrate ability to establish harmonious and effective working relationships within the organization through various divisions for better flow of information
  • Experience with developing data templates will be considered as an asset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal) targeting multiple audiences with ability to influence others while working in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
  • High motivation, enthusiasm, and dedication to deliver results within strict timeframes
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is considered as an asset
  • Knowledge of case management tool (ServiceNow) is an asset

Remarks:

  • Contract is for 6 months with possibility of extension
  • The hiring manager may apply other criteria beyond the minimum requirements
