How can you make a difference?

In this paid internship, you will support Employer Branding and Outreach as part of the HR Business Partner Team within the People and Learning Section. You will gain valuable insights into human resources management at the GSSC, with a particular focus on employer branding activities. This role offers the opportunity to further develop your creative skills while helping the team achieve its primary objective: attracting diverse, highly qualified talent to fill GSSC vacancies efficiently.

As an Employer Branding Intern, you will:

  • Create and update branded visual assets (experience with Canva is a plus).
  • Develop content for social media: Contribute to our social media strategy by writing engaging posts, designing eye-catching visuals, interacting with our audience, and strategically targeting content. You will also have the opportunity to conduct testimonial interviews with colleagues and contribute to blog posts.
  • Participate in organizing university events and job fairs.
  • Maintain the GSSC’s presence on various internal and external portals.
  • Organize internal staff engagement events.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of social media performance.
  • Assist with projects related to the employer branding strategy.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program or have completed your Bachelor’s within the past year.
  • Talent for designing visually appealing content that resonates with the target audience and strengthens our brand image.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of crafting clear, engaging, and compelling messages both in writing and in person to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Thrive in a team environment, enjoying collaboration with colleagues across various departments.
  • Proactive in building and maintaining professional relationships that enhance our branding and talent outreach efforts.
  • Strong organizational skills, effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines to ensure smooth and timely execution.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

Contract Duration and Terms

  • Applicants must be Hungarians, or nationals of EU (European Union) countries. 3rd country nationals must be in possession of valid student or work permits for the entire duration of the internship already at the time of application. (6 months)
  • Individuals must fund their travel, living and visa related expenses, must have proof of medical insurance covering their time at the duty station
  • Internships are paid a monthly net stipend of HUF HUF 362,133 per month for full-time arrangements (40hrs/week), which will be prorated according to attendance. Work arrangements are based on the effective regulations of the duty station, organizational needs and schedules of the interns
  • Appointments are also subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID).
  • Full-time interns may take up to 2.5 days per month off work for any reason, including medical reasons. The stipend will be reduced for any absence beyond this quota.
  • The intern must be physically present during the internship in Budapest.

Remarks:

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
