Result of Service - All IIIM’s process owners are consulted; processes and functions are prioritized. - RTOs and RPOs are defined for all critical functions and/or processes, systems and services. - Brief presentation type report is prepared and delivered for Senior Management. - A well-structured and articulated reports is prepared with actionable recommendations. - Other tasks are performed to the satisfaction of supervisor.

Expected duration - From November 15, 2021 to February 14, 2022 (3 months)

Duties and Responsibilities This position is located in the Information Systems Management Section (ISMS) of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism for Syria (IIIM). The Business Impact Analysis Consultant will report to the Head of the Information Security Unit and will be responsible for the following duties:

- Identify, classify and document the functions and/or processes according to their importance/criticality in executing IIIM mandate.

- Determine critical dependencies that support those functions and/or processes within IIIM and with external parties (people, vendors, systems, equipment, other assets).

- Analyze the consequences of possible disruptions or losses for critical functions and/or processes.

- Determine Recovery Time Objective (RTO), Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Maximum Acceptable Outage (MAO) for IIIM business functions and/or processes, systems and services.

- Prepare a report with essential information, conclusions, and recommendations about what has to be done to secure IIIM activities.

- Organize a final meeting with Senior Management and key staff to explain the conclusions and give recommendations.

Qualifications/special skills Licenses & Certificates: Other professional qualifications and certifications in Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, Information Security. Academic Qualifications: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Security or a related field from a recognized university or First degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Security or a related field from a recognized university in combination with qualifying experience. Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in conducting business impact analysis in International Organizations or seven years of similar work experience for a candidate with first degree. Language: Fluency in English is required
