We are currently looking for a talented student assistant with a wish to work with an organization that makes a difference. If you are currently completing your Bachelor or Master, preferably in finance, accounting or business administration, then you might be the person we are looking for.

****Who are we?****

The Department of Finance, Supply Chain and Risk (FRISC) consists of more than 70 colleagues divided in 4 divisions. The budgeting and reporting team consists of 5 financial specialists and business partners, members of the Corporate Finance division and is tasked with the delivery and coordination of the global budgeting process, the financial reports to senior management and the Board, as well as the annual statutory audit, for the whole organisation whose annual turnover is 3.5 billion DKK.

About the job

The main role of the student assistant will be to assist the budgeting and reporting team with the following tasks (the list is not exhaustive):

  • Support to monthly and quarterly reports to senior management and the Board
  • Support to budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Building of BI and Power BI reports
  • Support to Ad hoc financial analysis

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to be a passionate and dedicated person who has a sound knowledge of finance and a willingness to get involved. You are proactive and keen to participate even though you may not yet have the knowledge and skills. Dedication to your work and an awareness of the importance of your contribution will be essential.

Required

  • Have a good understanding of finance terms and principles
  • Good experience in using Excel, including formulas
  • Have good IT skills and experience in using other O365 applications including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good English communication skills both written and verbal
  • It is a requirement for the position that you are a student.

Desirable

  • Experience in accounting processes would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with Bi / Power BI

Working hours: 15 hours per week (spread over 2 working days)

Workplace: Borgergade 10, Copenhagen

Start date: August 1, 2023

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the current agreement concluded between the Danish Refugee Council and HK for students. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.

Please note that it is a requirement to have the right to work in Denmark (through nationality or existing work visa) to be considered for this role.
