STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Formación Requerida:

  • Finalización del ciclo de educación secundaria. Diplomas y/o certificación en el área de tecnologías.

Idiomas:

  • Dominio hablado y escrito, del idioma oficial de las Naciones Unidas que se utilice en el lugar de destino y del idioma hablado en el lugar de destino en este caso Español. Deseable inglés técnico.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

Este puesto ha de cubrirse en la oficina de Guatemala, bajo la supervisión directa del(a) Asistente Senior IT. Debe dar evidencia de responsabilidad y espíritu de iniciativa para gestionar el correcto funcionamiento los diferentes Sistemas de Información corporativos, así como gestionar proyectos a su cargo para responder autónomamente por los servicios bajo su responsabilidad, proveer soporte técnico a usuarios finales y resolver consultas complejas disponiendo solo de orientaciones de orden general. Se requiere que haga uso de buen criterio frente a las diferentes y cambiantes prioridades y los problemas imprevistos que puedan surgir a diario en la prestación de dichos servicios.

JOB PURPOSE

Entregar soporte técnico de alta calidad, mantenimiento de sistemas y datos a través de una gama de áreas, con el fin de contribuir a la prestación efectiva de servicios de TI.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Carry out system and hardware maintenance tasks, such as running specialised network monitoring and system protection, to ensure technology is running effectively. 2. Monitor technology reliability, identify user needs, analyse data and produce accurate reports in order to recommend IT solutions to support informative decision-making. 3. Resolve queries independently, escalating if required, to ensure that standard IT questions are answered and accurate information is provided to staff. 4. Provide standard technical training to end users of commonly used technology and systems, in order to assist WFP staff in conducting their work. 5. Provide guidance and training to junior colleagues in the delivery of IT support services to support the capability building of staff. 6. Support the co-ordination of new application implementation in order to provide WFP staff with the tools they need to perform effectively. 7. Draft standard material such as end-user and technical documentation to ensure staff have access to required information about IT services and products. 8. Implement improvements to methods and processes within the IT division in order to support the continuous improvement of IT services provided. 9. Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment, to ensure optimal services in compliance with standard operations procedures. 10. Coordinate a team of IT staff to ensure individual and team objectives are met in compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. 11. Follow set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide support in enabling emergency food assistance needs to be met.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

Experiencia Requerida:

  • Ha adquirido experiencia y conocimiento relevantes en la provisión de soporte técnico a usuarios.
  • Experiencia en resolver problemas técnicos más complejos.
  • Tiene experiencia en soportar pequeñas iniciativas de TI al nivel local.
  • Ha instruido, capacitado y asesorado a usuarios finales para fortalecer sus capacidades técnicas.
  • Experiencia comprobable en sistemas operativos de WINDOWS, MS Office 365 y sus aplicaciones como MS Teams, Share Point y otros.
  • Conocimiento de administración en Active Directory y servidores Windows OS
  • Orientado al trabajo humanitario y asistencia digital a beneficiarios
  • Conocimientos de ITIL orientado a manejo de incidentes y servicios y sistemas de ticketing.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Se ofrece Contrato de Servicios en sus siglas en inglés Service Contract por un período inicial de 06 meses, con probabilidad de extensión de acuerdo a desempeño.
