By supporting this assignment, Online Volunteers will contribute to strengthening strategic decision-making and partnership development efforts within the United Nations system in Yemen. Their work will help generate evidence-based insights that can support future collaboration and volunteer mobilization aimed at advancing sustainable development outcomes.
UNV Yemen is seeking two motivated Online Volunteers to support a strategic partnership for intelligence to be used for opening more volunteer opportunities in Yemen
Under the supervision of the UNV Country Coordinator each volunteer will do the following tasks:
• Review publicly available information from UN agencies operating in Yemen, including websites, country programme documents, annual reports, strategic frameworks, and communication materials.
• Analyze United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks (UNSDCFs), Country Programme Documents (CPDs), strategic plans, and other relevant planning documents.
• Map ongoing programmes, projects, and thematic priorities across UN agencies in Yemen.
• Collect and organize information related to:
- Programme objectives and focus areas. (in short summary)
- Project timelines and implementation periods.
- Key activities and expected outcomes. (in short summary)
- Budget allocations and funding information where publicly available.
- HR policies and contractual issues including 3rd party HR supply
- Geographic coverage and target populations.
• Prepare concise analytical summaries highlighting strategic insights and key findings.
Final deliverables: 1- Comprehensive programme and partnership intelligence matrix covering the selected UN agencies operating in Yemen. 2- Analytical summary identifying development priorities, funding trends, programme focus areas, and opportunities for collaboration. 3- Final briefing report presenting key findings, observations, and recommendations.
