Role Summary

We are looking for exceptional Analysts to join our South & Eastern Europe team, to be based in Ukraine. The candidate will report to the Senior Managers & Managers & part of a team working in country at the highest level of Government. The team based in Kyiv consists of 5+ nationalities with a range of experiences across government, public sector advisory & strategy consulting.

The ideal candidate will have strong academic results from a top academic institution in Ukraine, a keen interest in Government delivery and an excellent level of English. Candidates must have graduated from university no earlier than 18 months ago to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

The focus of this role will be to support delivery of projects for the government, including developing policy and strategy, as well as accelerating delivery. The role will require interaction with government, NGOs and private sector organistions. As such, we are looking for a strategic thinker with great communication skills, who has a drive to get his or her work implemented and deliver tangible results. Associate will have the following responsibilities:

Support TBI’s role in delivering strategic direction, policy advice and delivery of projects to our government counterparts, spanning a broad range of topics and fluctuating over time, such as climate, healthcare, energy, agriculture, and economic development, government organization and governance processes, social issues, foreign policy, etc.

Conduct in-depth analyses and advise on key policy topics and international developments as needed to support the client’s policymaking and decision-making on priority projects and enhance the government’s ability to respond and adapt to global and regional trends.

Engage with client counterparts for data gathering and establish relationship of trust with counterparts, as a go-to-person for analytics. Engage & work in close cooperation with TBI team. Produce and own sections of presentations & reports destined to senior government leadership.

Person Specification

Academic and motivation

  • A degree (Bachelors or Masters) from a top academic institution
  • Graduated from a university degree within the last two years
  • Strong demonstratable interest in Government strategy and delivery
  • Prepared to work in-person in the Kyiv office (starting from August/September 2024)

Work ethics and skills

  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a passion for achieving impact
  • Commitment to delivering high quality work, and ready to put in the necessary effort to achieve this within imparted deadlines
  • Work independently, think strategically & produce deliverables, with attention to detail
  • Good written communication and executive reporting skills including written PPT decks and reports are an advantage
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others, incl. people from different backgrounds/cultures
  • Fluency in English is required, with fluency in an Eastern European language preferred

Client and environmental awareness

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills; able to quickly establish TBI’s credibility with the client
  • Ability to operate within sometimes sensitive political contexts and be attuned to potential areas of conflict or tension
  • An awareness of international relations trends, particularly in Eastern Europe
