AMNC - Nature Initiatives

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.

The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

You will work closely with respective teams at the World Economic Forum Beijing Office to support the preparations for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC), that is held in June 25-27 in the city of Dalian this year.

Internship Duration

1 April – mid of July; 4-5 days/week onsite at the Forum office in Beijing

Requirements

The Internship role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and is usually undertaken during the penultimate year of study. While your major is not important, we are looking for candidates with an outstanding record of academic achievement, a can-do attitude and a desire to make an impact.

What to Expect

Throughout the internship, you will have the unique opportunity to:

The intern will join the office for a three-month period during the spring of 2024. You will work four to five days a week and receive a RMB 7,500 monthly stipend if working on full- time.

Nature Initiatives

The Forum’s China Nature Initiative team focuses on a range of nature-related topics, including commodity-driven deforestation, forest restoration and conservation, nature-positive transitions and the ocean action. The intern will work closely on one of the four topics and there will also be cross cutting assignments.

  • Operation: assist team members and coordinate with internal team to work on AMNC invitees' logistic arrangements; assist team members to design leadership’s engagement opportunities
  • Communication: assist team members to translate and draft marketing materials including invitation letter, session pre-read, session agenda, etc.; contribute to the design and implementation of AMNC communication plan
  • Research: contribute to the preparation of knowledge products through conducting desk research, data collection and analysis, text editing and polishing, etc.
