Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

This video will open the Regional Management Meeting of FAO's Near East and North Africa region, where key leadership from headquarters and across country offices gather to shape strategic directions. The video will demonstrate how FAO is integrating AI into its operations and field work, even in resource-constrained environments.

By helping us produce this video, the volunteer will directly support FAO’s internal communication and knowledge-sharing efforts, reinforcing innovation and digital transformation across the UN system.

FAO is a specialized UN agency leading international efforts to defeat hunger and improve agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. The RNE office coordinates work across 18 countries in the Arab region.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Office for the Near East and North Africa (RNE) is seeking a skilled and creative video editor to produce a 2-minute 30-second video that will be showcased at the Regional Management Meeting on 16 June 2025.

The video will highlight the programmatic challenges FAO faces in the region, such as budget constraints, and illustrate how AI is being used both in the field and in daily operations. It will conclude with a statement that the entire video was made using AI—emphasizing the organization's growing use of innovative tools.

The volunteer will be responsible for:

Creating a full video edit based on a provided script and guidance.

Incorporating AI-themed graphics, FAO video/image assets, and motion design (some visual references can be provided).

Using AI voiceover technology (e.g., ElevenLabs, Descript, Murf) to clone and regenerate the ADG’s voice (audio will be provided or direction will be given for regeneration).

Ensuring the video has a clear flow, high production value, and alignment with FAO’s branding.

Delivering the final video in MP4 format by 10 June 2025.

Collaboration will take place virtually via email and Microsoft Teams. The volunteer will receive feedback, guidance, and content support from the FAO communications team in Cairo.

Estimated workload: 4-5hours per week over 2 weeks.
