You have:
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in youth development, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation, employability, skills development, education, or related programme areas.
- Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture would be highly regarded.
- Experience in programme support, research, drafting, coordination, and engagement with government or partners is desirable.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; previous volunteer or international/multicultural experience is an advantage.

The UN Volunteer will support UNICEF’s Youth and Adolescent Development work, with a primary focus on youth empowerment, participation, skills development, entrepreneurship, and transition-to-earning pathways. The assignment will contribute to partnership engagement, programme support, research, drafting, and coordination linked to ongoing youth priorities and collaboration with government and other stakeholders. The assignment will also support knowledge generation, practical youth-focused initiatives, and the development of scalable approaches that strengthen systems, partnerships, and opportunities for young people.

Under the direct supervision of the Youth and Adolescent Development Manager, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
- Support the implementation and follow-up of youth empowerment, participation, skills development, and entrepreneurship-related activities under the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF ) workplan with the Government of Qatar.
- Assist in coordination with government counterparts, youth-focused partners, universities, and other stakeholders engaged in youth development initiatives.
- Contribute to the preparation of concept notes, briefing notes, presentations, talking points, meeting summaries, and other background materials related to youth priorities and partnership discussions.
- Support mapping and documentation of youth programmes, partnership opportunities, and relevant initiatives related to skilling, entrepreneurship, innovation, and transition-to-earning pathways.
- Assist in organizing meetings, consultations, workshops, and youth engagement activities with government and partner stakeholders.
- Contribute to research, desk reviews, and evidence gathering related to youth development, youth skills, entrepreneurship, participation, and learning-to-earning priorities.
- Support the development of knowledge products, internal updates, and communication materials related to youth programming and partnerships.
- Assist with activity tracking, follow-up on agreed action points, and reporting processes related to the UNICEF youth workplan and related partnership initiatives.
- Participate in efforts to ensure that youth perspectives are reflected in programme discussions, activities, and partnership processes.
- Contribute to identifying promising practices and practical approaches that may inform future youth programming and partnership development.

Doha is a safe and well-serviced duty station with modern infrastructure, good housing, quality health services, and a large international community. English is widely used in professional settings, and living conditions are generally comfortable, although the climate is very hot for several months of the year and the cost of living can be relatively high. Respect for local customs and cultural norms is important. Doha is classified as ICSC hardship level A.
