Our team and mission

The Programme Planning, Strategy and Management Coordination Office is under the direct authority of the Director of Connectivity and Secure Communications. We are a team of highly motivated professionals, working daily in close cooperation with our colleagues across various ESA establishments and with external partners. One of the tasks the Office is responsible for is implementing the Directorate’s internal and external communications and outreach activities, in close cooperation with ESA’s Department of Corporate Communications. Our objective is to deliver effective and clear communications covering the achievements and technical excellence of our Directorate to the general public, our Member States and stakeholders.

Field(s) of activity/research for the traineeship

You will:

- support review of the content on the connectivity.esa.int website; - help maintain the Connectivity and Secure Communications LinkedIn account; - maintain internal folder structure for the team and archiving of material; - support interface with external parties and Corporate Branding team for delivering graphics.

Education

You should have just completed, or be in the final year of your Master’s degree in communications or international relations.

Additional requirements

You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop or any other graphics software is an advantage.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.

During the interview motivation and overall professional perspective/career goals will also be explored.
