Write articles on volunteering linked to SDGs in Pacific islands.

You have:

  • Experience in media especially in print.
  • Knowledge of developments in the Pacific.
  • Experience in interviews, research, and developing print media products.
  • Understand volunteering in the Pacific.

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Interview volunteers in any of the 14 Pacific island countries with regards to volunteering in their respective countries; Write stories on volunteering (either of UNVs or partners); link these to the Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030); Ensure the articles or stories are edited by UNV Pacific and that amendments are integrated into the products; Ensure, relevant or applicable photographs are obtained from interviewees; Ensure the products have community impacts and community perspectives are also captured in the stories or articles; Layout the story and photography on any application like word, publisher; Submit to the UNV Pacific Multi Country Coordinator; The Online Volunteer is expected to have written about 4 articles or stories by the end of 8 weeks.
