Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

While the SDGs are universal in nature, with the aim of leaving no one behind, inequalities stemming from nationality, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity and orientation, marital status, age and other factors influence one’s access to resources and the ability to exercise basic rights, including the right to sexual and reproductive health. In Cameroon like most developing countries, the poorest girls and women have the least power to decide whether or when to become pregnant. They also have the least access to quality care during pregnancy and childbirth, and this often results in maternal death. This inequality has lasting repercussions for girl’s and women’s health, educational opportunities, career and earning potential, and for their contribution to Cameroon’s development and the elimination of poverty.

CAEPA is looking for Online Volunteers with experience in grant proposal writing on sexual and reproductive health rights. To this end CAEPA will identify potential donors and call for proposals and share them with the Online Volunteers. CAEPA will provide them with the background information they need to write the proposal. Online volunteers will review, restructure and rewrite the drafts provided by CAEPA. Online volunteers will complete this task by writing two standard winning proposals. They will work with the Director. Online volunteers won't be asked to submit fundraising requests or to engage in direct negotiations with donors. Communication will be done through email, skype or whatasapp

Fundraising and grant proposal writing experience, with a strong civil society background and Master’s Degree in Gender studies. Candidates with knowledge on feminism will have an added advantage
