Overview
Help write a design document for a new membership website functionality.
You have:
- Knowledge of PHP programming language is required for development.
- Familiarity with the WordPress platform is necessary.
- Ability to customize WordPress, install themes and plugins to meet defined goals.
- Commitment of 1-5 hours per week for the duration of 8 weeks.
- Experience working with small scale operators or entrepreneurs is preferred.

We need a volunteer to help write a design document for a new functionality to our membership website (www.aaeafrica.org/home/members). The required functionality is a startup project listing service for our new entrepreneurs. The listing service should allow the startups to solicit startup capital through crowdfunding sources. There would be brief funder profiles and the sharing of feedback (threaded comments) on the startup project pages. The ideal volunteer should have knowledge of PHP programming language, be familiar with the WordPress platform.

The “startup lifecycle” of an entrepreneur is a journey characterized by a unique set of obstacles to deal with and overcome. Chiefly among these obstacles are capital and marketing. Startup funding helps a startup go from idea to actual business.
