Our growing nonprofit organization is seeking to grow our audience, expand our programs online, and reach new audiences. We are currently seeking a professional Content Writer to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating updated and new content for our websites and our 2 main events for 2021 to ensure the marketability of our organization and programs. If you have previous experience as a Content Writer in the disability, parenting, special needs, education, or nonprofit industry, we encourage you to submit an application.

    When Nathan was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, he was just 9 months old. The news was devastating to his family, as they live in Jamaica where services are extremely limited. Feeling lost, out of their depth, and alone, the Ebanks family struggled for years seeking answers. This became the Segway for Nathan's mother Christine, to become one of the leading voices of advocacy for children with disabilities and their families in Jamaica. Christine used her experience to build a platform to carry the voices of children and their families in Jamaica. She formed the Nathan Ebanks Foundation in 2007, to work for the advocacy, inclusion, and empowerment of children with disabilities and their families. support families. This NEF has grown to become significant support for children and families with disabilities in Jamaica in the Caribbean. Due to the devasting impact of COVID-19 on the lives of this community, the NEF is now on a mission to extend its programs via online platforms to give more families access. The organization is very underfunded and is also seeking to attract financial and technical support for its programs.

  • Volunteers: 2 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 6 weeks

    The individual should: Understanding grammar rules and how to construct clear sentences Being mindful of things like flow, readability, and sentence variety Have an understanding of search engine optimization best practices Be able to cooperate with other volunteers, graphic designer, and website designer to complete projects The ability to give feedback on writing projects
