The online volunteer is expected to deliver a minimum of 8 live online lectures on Wireless Network Design & Performance Optimization for IoT Systems over 8 weeks. The masterclass prepares Future Tech Leaders (FTL) Syria participants for professional certification exams in IoT and wireless networking. It follows the programme's AI Bootcamp and the Intelligent Climate Monitoring & IoT Systems Workshop.
UNDP ICPSD aims to recruit one Online Volunteer to deliver the Wireless Network Design & Performance Optimization for IoT Systems Professional Certification Exam Masterclass for the Future Tech Leaders Syria Implementation under the guidance of the team focal point.
The Online Volunteer will: • Develop 8 slide decks and accompanying exercises, aligned with the topics covered in IoT and wireless networking certification exams. • Develop materials and deliver 8 live online lectures, one per week, on the following topics: IoT Architectures and Wireless Fundamentals; Radio Propagation and Link Budget; Short-Range Technologies: BLE, Zigbee and Wi-Fi; LPWAN Technologies: LoRaWAN and NB-IoT; IoT Communication Protocols: MQTT and CoAP; Coverage Planning and Network Design; Performance Optimization, Power Efficiency and Security; Case Study and Certification Exam Preparation. • Include practical demonstrations such as link budget calculations, coverage planning and protocol configuration. • Prepare one practice exam and review it with participants in the final session. • Answer participants' questions during the live sessions and follow up on open questions after them. • Provide brief documentation summarizing the materials developed and participant progress.
Schedule for sessions: Evening sessions on weekdays and morning sessions on weekends (Syria time).
