Overview

Provide IT services support for international meetings and intranet management.

You have:

  • Seven years of experience in the technological support for international meetings, specifically through the provision of a specially designed intranet system.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.

Result of Service The functioning IT services for the ICCM5, IP4.3 and regional meetings, including troubleshooting for participants to access meeting documents and conference room papers throughout the meeting, as well as to assist the secretariat in the optimum functioning of internet services.

Through greater visibility efforts of the functioning intranet there will be increased awareness of the issues at stake in the lead up and during the Regional Meetings, IP4.3 and ICCM5.

Expected duration 12 working days

Duties and Responsibilities 1.) Preparation and support for the Regional meetings and IP4.3. 2.) Support the work of the secretariat during the meeting of the ICCM5 through the provision of assistance and advice to secretariat and participants to ensure the optimum functioning of the Internet services

During the three meetings i.e. Regional meetings, IP4.3 and ICCM5, supports the meeting through assistance in the updating and maintenance of the intranet, including uploading documents and updating event pages and other support to internet services by ensuring that the SAICM and ICCM5 webpages accurately reflects any requests from those meetings.

Qualifications/special skills Seven years of experience in the technological support for international meetings, specifically through the provision of a specially designed intranet system. Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
