Duties and Responsibilities UN Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

UNEP is hosting several multi-stakeholder partnerships and managing multiple partners projects including the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 and Seed Capital Assistance Facility. One of the main activities of these initiatives is related to outreach and advocacy, which heavily relies on their website platforms. The initiatives’ websites are an essential source of information for their stakeholders and to raise awareness.

As such, a consultant is needed to perform tasks of a technical nature in the specialized field of website development. The objective of this assignment is to support: - the revamping of the Seed Capital Assistance Facility website - the development of an interactive website entitled Cooking Up Greener Solutions - the revamping of OGMP 2.0 including the creation of new sections - the development of new features on the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction

Qualifications/special skills Certificate or Diploma or Bachelors’ degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management or related discipline. Significant experience in web development may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. - At least 10 years' experience in web/ software development and technical support at the national or international levels is required, and specific UN work experience would be an asset. - Have a proven record of Drupal development of at least 5 years. - Experience and advanced knowledge in web design using: HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Flash, Java and ability to setup and interact with web services (both SOAP/XML and JSON). - Experience and advanced knowledge in open-source CMS (Content Management System) installation and management, especially Drupal framework. - Knowledge of web design and animation software would be an asset. - Experience developing style sheet, databases expertise and have some previous experience migrating websites. - Able to work and follow-up independently. - Ability to focus on a variety of tasks within a deadline-driven environment. - Responds positively to critical feedback and differing points of views. - Excellent attention to details.

Languages - Good command in English and knowledge for French is an asset.
